How to maintain a low email spam rate

Modified on Thu, 25 Jun at 3:05 PM

FLG has spam rate thresholds in place that, if exceeded, will temporarily disable email sending on your account. These limits protect your email reputation - without a good reputation tied to your domain and IP address, your emails won't reach recipients' inboxes.

Best Practices for Keeping Spam Rates Low

  • Include an unsubscribe link in all your emails - FLG adds one automatically if missing when sending via bulk action, workflow, or lead action
  • Ensure recipients have opted in to receive emails from you
  • Don't purchase mailing lists or scrape websites for email addresses
  • Avoid clickbait subject lines that don't match your email content
  • Test your messages for spam and design problems before sending

Getting Reports on Spam & Email Tracking

  • Use the Email Delivery Summary Report in the reports area to see how many emails are being marked as spam.
  • If email tracking is enabled (Settings > Configuration > Email), you'll also see statistics on opens, clicks, replies, and more.
  • Set up alerts based on email tracking events at Settings > Lead Groups > Lead Types > Edit - for example, creating a task when a recipient unsubscribes or clicks the spam button.
