Lead Distribution to Referral Partners

Modified on Tue, 14 Jul at 12:54 PM

Lead distribution is based on multiple factors. A partner receives a lead only if they meet all of the following criteria:

  • They are at the highest Selection Priority (SP) for this lead type
  • They have not reached their daily or monthly lead limit
  • They can accept leads from the postcode area the lead is in
  • They can receive leads today and at the current time of day
  • They have been waiting longest in the queue
  • They are active and online
  • They have sufficient credit or balance to receive the lead

Distribution is per lead type - Pensions and Mortgages, for example, have independent rules and queues.

Example 1

Setup:

  • Partner A - accepts any Mortgage lead and any Pension lead
  • Partner B - accepts Mortgage leads from the BB postcode area only
  • Both partners have the same Selection Priority and no lead limits

Seven leads come in and are distributed as follows:

Sarah PBB11PensionsPartner APensions lead - only Partner A is eligible
Karen BDE20MortgagesPartner AMortgage lead AND postcode is DE - Partner B is not eligible for DE
John JBB12MortgagesPartner BMortgage lead AND Partner A received the last lead

Example 2

Setup:

  • Partners A and D - accept any Mortgage lead
  • Partners B and C - accept Mortgage leads from the BB postcode area only
  • Partner E - accepts Mortgage leads from the BB and DE postcode areas
  • All partners use the same Selection Priority and have no lead limits

14 leads are received and assigned accordingly.

First lead selection

When no partner has yet received a lead, the system randomly selects one eligible partner to receive the first lead. That partner effectively becomes first in the queue and is only superseded by partners who have not yet received any lead.
