Create a new funnel report

Modified on Tue, 23 Jun at 11:14 AM

FLG Insights lets you create funnel reports from a template (for quick management information) or as a custom report (fully tailored to your needs). Funnel reports support the same features as other reports - downloading, sharing, scheduling, and more.

Open a Blank or Template Funnel Report

New funnel reports can be opened from the New report button on the homepage, or directly from the funnel (which associates the report with that funnel).

  1. From the funnel designer, click New funnel report.
  2. Select Blank report or a report template. Templates appear below the horizontal grey line.

Open an Existing Funnel Report

Existing funnel reports are accessible from the reports list on the homepage, or from the associated funnel.

  1. From the funnel designer, click the Existing reports icon.
  2. Select a report from the list.

Open the Funnel from a Funnel Report

Click the DATA SOURCE link within the funnel report to navigate to the associated funnel.

Funnel Behaviour Options

These options let you fine-tune how funnel reports track leads through your pipeline.

Mid-funnel Entry

  • On by default
  • Allows leads to enter the funnel at any step - not just step 1.
  • Useful when an API creates leads that bypass the first funnel step.

Example path: status not in funnel - step 3 - step 4. Lead appears in steps 3 and 4.

Leave and Return

  • Off by default
  • Allows a lead to leave the funnel (by moving to a status outside a funnel step) and then return to either the previous step or the next one.
  • To allow returning to a step other than the last visited or next step, Skip steps must also be enabled.

Example path: step 1 - step 2 - status not in funnel - step 3. Lead appears in steps 1, 2 and 3.

Leave and return option
Tip: With both Leave and Return and Skip Steps enabled, a lead could follow: step 1 - step 2 - status not in funnel - step 4, appearing in steps 1, 2 and 4. Enabling Backfill on Skip would show the lead in all four steps.

Skip Steps

  • On by default
  • Shows leads that have jumped more than one step ahead.

Example path: step 1 - step 2 - step 4. Lead appears in steps 1, 2 and 4.

Backfill on Skip

  • Off by default - only available when Skip Steps is enabled.
  • Shows leads as having passed through any steps they skipped.

Example path: step 1 - step 4. Lead appears in steps 1, 2, 3 and 4.

Tip: Backfill on Skip only works when the lead moves between statuses that are included in funnel steps. If a lead moves from a status not in any funnel step directly to step 4, it will not be backfilled into steps 1, 2 and 3.
