User Messaging

The messaging feature allows users to send internal messages to each other directly within the system.

Enabling Messaging

  • Go to Settings > Users > Edit
  • Under the Teams section, tick Enable user to send messages to other users

Sending a Message

  • Click Send Message in the left-hand menu
  • Select the recipient from the dropdown
  • Type your message and send

Receiving & Replying

  • Incoming messages appear on the recipient's dashboard
  • Click Send Reply to respond directly
  • Click the tick next to a message to mark it as read and remove it from your dashboard

When to Use Messaging

Messaging is ideal for quick internal notifications where no action is needed - unlike tasks, which imply something needs to be done.

Example: If you take a call on behalf of a lead's assigned user and resolve the customer's query, you can send them a message to let them know. No task is needed since nothing is outstanding, but the assigned user is kept in the loop.
