Step 6: Getting the Form Post Details
Navigate to your FLG account and go to Tools > Capture Leads > From a Website. Click continue. Select capture method webform. You should see something similar to that of the below image. It may be a good Idea to keep this open on a separate tab or window.
Step 7: Mapping the Parsed Data to FLG Fields
Step 5 on Zapier is to set up the form post. We need to extract information from our form post code, shown in the above image. Scroll down the content of the form post code until you see the form action URL. In the above image ours is http://demo.flg360.co.uk/api/APIHTTPost.php
Enter the URL in the provided section on the Zapier page as shown in the image below.
Select Form as the Payload Type.
For the Data section, you will need to extract the field names from the FLG form post code. In the example below, we have shown intLeadGroupID, strLeadFirstName etc.
For the lead group ID, type in the value (the lead groups ID) as shown in the below image. For anything that you are extracting from the email you are parsing, click 'Insert Fields' and select from the list. It will always start 'Parse Output' followed by the name that you gave it in step 4.
Step 8: Testing the Zap
Once you have mapped all the fields that you require, skip all the below options and Press Continue. You will now be able to test the Zap. Once you have tested the App, Click Turn Zap On.
Step 9: Set up Auto Forwarding
You will want to set up Auto Forwarding with your mail service if the emails are to be sent to Zapier to be parsed automatically. You will need to seek help from your provider or search online for support if you do not know how to do this. The emails need to be forwarded to the Zapier mailbox address.
Alternatively, you could just have the emails sent directly to the Zapier mailbox.
Note: If you use a mail client such as Outlook, setting up mail forwarding from within the client will only forward the mail when the client is running (You will need to have it open and running). If you want the emails to be sent regardless or whether you are using your mail client or not, you will need to speak with the person that manages your mail service to set up mail forwarding at Server level.
